BETHEL BAPTIST CHURCH

Minister Wesley Pittman is a resident of the city of Chesapeake, Virginia. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in January, 1987.  He is married to Minister Doris J. Pittman (his high school sweetheart for over 32 years), and from their union God blessed them with their beautiful, miracle daughter, Doriece or Dj, a successful Kindergarten Teacher.  He is a retired employee of the Portsmouth City Public Schools Operations Department where he served for over 33 years .

 

Minister Pittman is a former member of Centennial Baptist Church in Portsmouth Virginia, where he was ordained as a Deacon in 1993.  He has labored in the vineyard attending many workshops in Leadership, working with other churches in their outreach ministries, helping other ministries in biblical studies, and preaching and teaching the word of God to many. 

 

On October, 2011, he was licensed by his Pastor, Rev. Joseph G. Casper, Jr., as a Minister of The Gospel, and as a member of Bethel Baptist Church since 2008, under the Leadership of his Pastor, he serves as an Associate Minister, Sunday School Superintendent and Teacher, a member of the Men's Ministry, Vacation Bible School Adult Teacher, Marriage Ministry Leader/Teacher, Children’s Church Teacher  and a member who is always ready to serve in any other areas of ministry when and where needed. 

 

He received his Bachelors Degree in Theology from Union Christian Bible Institute, Inc., Portsmouth, VA., June, 2013 and in 2014 a Post Degree for His Masters.  He loves God's Word and loves to teach God's Word, to God's people.  His heart's desire is to continue to sow into others, what the Lord has sown into him and to be counted a faithful servant!
